Our Love Story

Cassie and Dave first met at work in Rochester, NY in 2016, when Cassie was in town for her first week of orientation. He was too nervous to approach her at first, but later that week, mustered up some courage and said "Hello". That's where it all began. 

After traveling back to Indiana, Dave wanted to get to know Cassie more, so he found her on Facebook and reached out. It's a good thing Dave didn't mind being left on "read" a few times, but with his persistence, Cassie finally came to her senses. After talking every day for almost a year, Dave decided to take a trip out to the mid-west, to go on their very first "official" date. 

In the following year, many trips between Indiana and New York were made, until Dave decided to make the big move to Indiana. 

Dave came up with an elaborate plan for the proposal. With the help of a photographer, they staged a free couples photoshoot contest that he "WON!". He's always entering contests on Instagram, so this was totally believable! On the day of the proposal, Dave and Cassie prepared for the "photoshoot" and headed to the shoot location. Dave had arranged for Cassie's sister to bring their dogs in at the exact moment when he was proposing. Cassie was completely clueless exclaiming, "those look exactly like our dogs!", before turning around to see Dave down on one knee. Needless to say, she said YES!
